Pentatonic Instruments
The pentatonic scale consists of the subset of diatonic scale notes "Do Re Mi So La Do" .
These are wonderful instruments to have around for informal jams as a rhythm instrument.
They re especially nice for children's free-play, as any combination of notes struck together will harmonize!
The pentatonic scale has been utilized extensively in educational settings through the Kodaly Method.
